A blog for the Year 2022, Tech by 2023!

What will be the changes in Computer technology by 2023.

The future is hard to predict. This blog will predict on the Technology by 2023, what will be updated and what is the changes that take effect in the Tech Word. In this blog, I will talk about the changes and challenges that may occur by 2023. Let’s begin…

Technology today is evolving at a rapid pace, enabling faster change and progress, causing an acceleration of the rate of change. However, it is not only technology trends and emerging technologies that are evolving, a lot more has changed this year due to the outbreak of COVID-19 making IT professionals realize that their role will not stay the same in the contactless world tomorrow. I have researched and based on outcome and trend here are my views.

The Metaverse & Virtual Reality

IMMERSIVE TECHNOLOGIES AND METAVERSE:
Even as augmented and virtual reality grow rapidly with increasing business applications, many versions and levels have created the overarching concept of extended reality or XR. Says computing firm HP, “XR tech takes the human-to-PC screen interface and modifies it, either by
1) immersing in the virtual environment (VR),
2) adds to, or augments, the user’s surroundings (Augmented reality), or
3) both of those (Mixed Reality).”
In XR, X also stands for the new emerging technologies that will allow higher levels of realistic immersive experience. These will have applications in what is called metaverse, the digital universe. From independent pockets of immersive experience and digital activities, metaverse can connect all digital activities with each other. For example, online gaming to medical data to travel planning can form a person’s metaverse. Each person can also engage with the digital universe of others for a shared experience.

NFT/TOKENISATION, DECENTRALISED IDENTITY

The concept of decentralized identity will manifest itself in several ways. On business opportunity and take-off parameters, this set of technologies ranks the highest. However, the regulations on blockchain and cryptos are yet to mature. Microsoft describes decentralized identity as “a trust framework in which identifiers, such as usernames, can be replaced with IDs that are self-owned, independent, and enable data exchange using blockchain and distributed ledger technology to protect the privacy and secure transactions.” Collins dictionary has selected NFT as the word of the year for 2021. NFT means “A unique digital certificate, registered in a blockchain, that is used to record the ownership of an asset such as an artwork or a collectible,” as described by Collins. Such tokens are a symbol of a new form of identifying objects and people.

Changes,May occur in IT and Software Industry

If you are not a tech guy and not interested in Software you can skip this part.
Security Cross-Cutting Issues
The growth of large data repositories and the emergence of data analytics have combined with intrusions by bad actors, governments, and corporations to open Pandora’s box of issues. How can we balance security and privacy in this environment?
Open Intellectual Property Movement
From open-source software and standards to open-access publishing, the open IP movement is upon us. What are the implications?
Sustainability
Can electronic cars, LED lighting, new types of batteries and chips, and increasing use of renewables combat rising energy use and an explosion in the uptake of computing?
Massively Online Open Courses
MOOCs have the potential to transform the higher-education landscape, siphoning students from traditional universities and altering faculty and student roles. How significant will their impact be?
Quantum Computing
Constrained only by the laws of physics, quantum computing will potentially extend Moore’s Law into the next decade. As commercial quantum computing comes within reach, new breakthroughs are occurring at an accelerating pace.
Device and Nanotechnology
It is clear that MEMS devices, nanoparticles, and their use in applications are here to stay. Nanotechnology has already been useful in manufacturing sunscreen, tires, and medical devices that can be swallowed.
3D Integrated Circuits
The transition from printed circuit boards to 3D-ICs is already underway in the mobile arena, and will eventually spread across the entire spectrum of IT products.
Universal Memory
Universal memory replacements for DRAM will cause a tectonic shift in architectures and software.
Multicore
By 2022, multicore will be everywhere, from wearable systems and smartphones to cameras, games, automobiles, cloud servers, and exascale supercomputers.
Photonics
Silicon photonics will be a fundamental technology to address the bandwidth, latency, and energy challenges in the fabric of high-end systems.
Networking and Interconnectivity
Developments at all levels of the network stack will continue to drive research and the Internet economy.
Software-Defined Networks
OpenFlow and SDN will make networks more secure, transparent, flexible, and functional.
High-Performance Computing
While some governments are focused on reaching exascale, some researchers are intent on moving HPC to the cloud.
Cloud Computing
By 2022, cloud will be more entrenched and more computing workloads run on the cloud.
The Internet of Things
From clothes that monitor our movements to smart homes and cities, the Internet of Things knows no bounds, except for our concerns about ensuring privacy amid such convenience.
Natural User Interfaces
The long-held dreams of computers that can interface with us through touch, gesture, and speech are finally coming true, with more radical interfaces on the horizon.
3D Printing
3D printing promises a revolution in fabrication, with many opportunities to produce designs that would have been prohibitively expensive.
Big Data and Analytics
The growing availability of data and demand for its insights holds great potential to improve many data-driven decisions.
